From TCCNN Reporter Randy Pifer

TCC ratcheted up the defensive pressure and held Abner Creek to a paltry 21 points as The Reformers more than doubled them up to claim a 43-21 win. TCC runs their record to 2-0 and seems to be on a collision course with arch rival Taylor's First for the league crown. In past seasons, Taylor's has used their size advantage to bully TCC, but new addition Kyle LaPierre will start to even out the imbalance and should prove to be quite the battle when they square off in a few weeks.
Ryan LaPierre led the scoring charge tonight, but Abner Creek could barely get the ball across half court and the LaPierre brothers hustle led to constant fast break layups. Jonathan Chasteen also was able to feast on their turnovers with 3 easy layups. Josh Payne made his season debut but struggled as he attempted to knock the rust off. Hugh Carson, nursing an injured foot, gutted it out, but you could tell he was not his usual self. In a horrible display of sportsmanship Stephen Donovan was able to get a cherrypicked basket towards the end when the game was already in hand. Randy Pifer was held scoreless.
Next up TCC travels to Pelham First to play the Peacekeepers. TCC is 2-0 all time against them. The journey to a 10-0 season continues next Monday night at 8:30 PM.
