"The Promise" and NEWS and NOTES

The Fightin' Reformers have been off since Thursday night. The high of Fan Appreciation Night has since passed and the Reformers are left with the reality that they are on a three game losing streak. Jon Goforth gave a speech for the ages after the game on Thursday.

"To the fans and everybody in Reformer Nation, I’m sorry. I’m extremely sorry. We were Hoping for an undefeated season, that was my goal, something CGBC has never done here.

I promise you one thing, a lot of good will come out of this. You will never see any player in the entire league play as hard as I will play the rest of the season. You will never see someone push the rest of the team as hard as I will push everybody the rest of the season.

You will never see a team play harder than we will the rest of the season. God Bless."
-Jon Goforth 10/18/12

The speech has been memorialized on a plaque in the team locker room and has already been dubbed "The Promise". It is sure to go down in CGBC lore if he is able to pull his team together in time for the playoffs.

NEWS and NOTES The GM announced today there will be a strong push to get the same type of attendance at the first playoff game in CGBC history as was in attendance for the fan appreciation night. There are plans being finalized now that will make all fans want to be in attendance.
